Lake Shore wrestling coach Bill Sills was awarded with a second straight ECIC II Coach of the Year honor after winning division titles in each of the seasons.
Coach Bill Sills was selected as the ECIC Division II Coach of the Year for the second straight year and honored at the Banquet of Champions on Sunday, March 3
This award is chosen by Sills’ colleagues and follows a second straight division title for the Eagles. Lake Shore’s varsity wrestling program has progressed every year since Sills took it over six seasons ago. Sills’ career record as a coach now stands at 76-30 overall and 35-13 in his league.
After losing 10 starters from last year’s division-winning team, the Eagles won ECIC II again and then earned the Section VI Class A title, also qualifying the most wrestlers to the State Qualifier tournament in the school’s history at 14.
