The Lakeshore Youth Soccer Association is attempting to turn the Southtowns of Western New York into a soccer talent hotbed, beginning by providing opportunities for youngsters to play year-round, according to Scott MacLean, director of coaching for LYSA. During the winter months, the LYSA is providing the opportunity for players to meet every Saturday at the Seneca Nation Cattaraugus Community Center. The winter training sessions are meant to be convenient and affordable. They run until February and are strictly for technical development and treated almost like a player camp.
