Hamburg Swim Club next at championships

Hamburg Swim Club is readying to compete March 8-9 in the Championship Meet at Fredonia State College. Thirty-five swimmers out of 72 registered from the club qualified for this meet. The club is finishing up its main season that goes from September through March.

The club is recognized as a Level 1 Club by USA Swimming, providing an opportunity for swimmers at any level to participate in a competitive swimming program. Frontier High School head swimming coach Jeff Moessinger is the club’s head coach, with assistant coaches Matt Moessinger, Lukas Hayes and Korey Hayes.

The club’s swimmers in the Championship Meet include Beth Brombos, Emily Caligiuri, Adam Cislo, Megan Clancy, Jade Cozzo, Cass Diorio, Lauren Dufrense, Quinn Farrell, Braden Feasley, David George, Tori George, Catherine Gonzalez, Olivia Herman, Jessica Humby, Bailey Kerins, Hailee Kerins, Jessica Kerins, Heidi Khuu, Leah Khuu, Alina Kisluk, Dina Latona, Lauren Macdonald, Marissa Macdonald, Erin Machowski, Morgan Mulawka, Paige Mulawka, Amanda Nottol Mikaela Peterson, Max Pirotta, Gabby Rydzewski, Olivia Sauda, Sami Sherk, Hannah Suffoletto, Alyssa Torres and Dillon Wolfe.

Twenty-one swimmers for the club also qualified for the Niagara District Championship Qualifier Meet (Silvers), which was held Feb. 21-23 at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic Center. It is the qualifying meet for WNY area. They included Beth Brombos, Braden Feasley, David George, Tori George, Catherine Gonzalez, Jessica Humby, Hailee Kerins, Jessica Kerins, Heidi Khuu, Alina Kisluk, Dina Latona, Lauren Macdonald, Marissa Macdonald, Paige Mulawka, Amanda Notto, Mikaela Peterson, Max Pirotta, Olivia Sauda, Sami Sherk, Hannah Suffoletto and Alyssa Torres.

Seven swimmers have qualified for the Niagara Swim League Championships (Golds) to be held March 13-16 in Webster. It is the Championship meet for the Niagara-area region, which covers Buffalo, Rochester, Binghamton and Syracuse. They include Braden Feasley, David George, Tori George, Jessica Humby, Hailee Kerins, Max Pirotta and Hannah Suffoletto

The club’s Spring Swim Session and Learn to Swim will run April 7 through June 6. Learn to Swim will be on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. The Spring Swim Session runs during weeknights.
