Guzzino among Gliding Stars to skate March 28-29

Gliding Stars adaptive ice skating program will present its annual show, “Skate the Colors of the Rainbow” at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, to take place at the Northtown Ice Center on 1615 Amherst Manor Drive in Williamsville.

Among those skating will be Lucas Guzzino of Hamburg, who is a student at Frontier Middle School. He has skated with the Gliding Stars for the past seven years.

Guzzino said his favorite part of skating is doing lunges and then spinning. He also likes backward spirals and free skating at the end. “I always love the finale at the ice show, the balloons are the best,” he noted. When Guzzino is not skating he enjoys gymnastics and summers at Cradle Beach Camp.

The show promises to be an unforgettable and heartfelt experience that will bring a smile to spectators’ faces. Pre-sale tickets, with a slight savings, can be purchased by calling 608-8345 or emailing infogs@glidingstars.org. Tickets will also be available at the door. Children under the age of 2 are free.
