Frontier fall sports start dates

Frontier Central Schools has announced its fall sports tryout schedule for the 2013 fall sports season. No athlete will be able to tryout or receive equipment until all eligibility requirements are met.
Athletes must have a current physical exam or health appraisal, parent permission form completed, sports participation form completed, school health screening, additional medical information if applicable and a white emergency card. The high school will be closed from June 23 to Aug. 30, so all sports physicals and updates will be completed at the middle school. All high school/middle school fall athletes must attend one of the following:
* For students with current physicals (dated after Sept. 12, 2012), updates and screenings will be held Aug. 5-9 8 a.m.-noon at the middle school health office.
* For students in need of a physical, call after July 15 to schedule a physical at 926-1731. They’ll be held Aug. 1, 5-8 and 12-13 at the middle school.
* For students either with or in need of a physical, high schoolers can attend Aug. 14-15 or 20 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Middle School Health Office and for middle schoolers, they can attend Aug. 21 or 27-28 8 a.m.-noon at the middle school health office.
Tryout start dates for high school sports is Monday, Aug. 19 (unless noted), for modified football its Monday, Aug. 26 and for all other modified sports, Thursday, Aug. 29 or later. Where to meet for each sport are as follows:
Cheerleading: Aug. 19 at camp in Pennsylvania
Varsity Cross Country: Aug. 26 6:30 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge
Modified Cross Country: Sept. 4 3:00 p.m. at middle school
JV/Varsity Football: Aug. 19 4 p.m. at high school
Modified Football: Aug. 26 8 a.m. at middle school
Golf: Aug. 26 10:30 am Hamburg Golf Course
Gymnastics: Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. TBA
Boys JV/Varsity Soccer: Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. at high school
Modified Boys Soccer: Aug. 29 9 a.m. at middle school
Girls JV/Varsity Soccer: Aug. 19 at 8 a.m. at high school
Modified Girls Soccer: Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. at middle school
Girls JV/Varsity Swim: Aug. 19 at 9 a.m. high school
Boys JV/Varsity Volleyball : Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. high school
Modified Boys Volleyball: Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. at middle school
Girls JV/Varsity Volleyball : Aug. 19 at 8 a.m. high school
Modified Girls Volleyball: Aug. 29 at 9 a.m. middle school
Girls Tennis: Aug. 20 at 9 a.m. at high school
