The X-treme 14-and-under girls fastpitch travel softball team went undefeated in winning the Webster X-treme Tournament from July 19-21 in the Rochester-area.
The X-treme Strawbrich team defeated Renegade Silver of Syracuse 7-2 to take the championship.
Strong pitching from Da’Di’ Jones, Ruby Thomas and Mallory Ashe was key in the tournament title. Their efforts in the circle were backstopped by a solid defensive effort, led by Amanda Russo, Brooke Buck, Kayla Shanahan, Kayla Gawlak and Jamie Carlson.
The offensive attack was anchored by Taylor Strawbrich, Jordan Scholl, Samantha Budzinski and Madison Muriel.
The team was headed by coach Peg Strawbrich with assistants Jeff Maracle, Neal Russo and Jack Strawbrich.
