HMGC four-man championship results
The Hamburg Men’s Golf Club concluded its season-long two-man team tournament with the top tandem of Jim Eddy and Steve Dearth finishing with a net of 122 (62-60). Finishing right behind was the duo of Jim Snyder and Johnathan Snyder (123). Also, Brian Williams of the HMGC will chair the upcoming Buffalo Districts Senior Net Championship at Gowanda Country Club. About six fellow HMGC members will participate among the field of about 50. With the help of Williams, Nick White will chair the club’s annual Fall Classic Championship on Sept. 7.
Hamburg Men’s ‘65’ Golf Club results
Top finishers from the Hamburg Men’s ‘65’ Golf Club’s Week 17 play, include, in Class A, Danny Schaefer with a net of 62, followed by Dick Knell (63), Daryl Gallineau (64) and Tom Fossett (68); in Class B, Russ Bonfessuto with a net of 62, Jim McGuire (65), Jerry O’Mara (66) and Paul Kohlmeier (66); in Class C, Mike Roche with a net of 67, followed by Joe Kromer (69), Corky McDonald (69) and Pete Holler (69).
Hamburg Women’s Golf Club results
Top finishers from the Hamburg Women’s Golf Club’s Mosts Tournament on Aug. 29 included Gail Kaney and Linda Keyes, each recording a score of five in Class A-1; Jane O’Brien with a six and Debbie O’Brien (four) in Class B-1; Barbara Logan and Joanne Comstock, each with a five, in Class C-1; and Jayne Bernick and Dorothy Dworakowski, each with a four, in Class D-1. Prior results at the “Mystery” Tournament on Aug. 22 were Mary Beth Glatz in first with a nine and Marcia Kumiega (12) in Class A-1; Cheryl Larson in first with a 10 and Diane Petrick (12) in Class B-1; Lynn Churchill in first with a 10 and Maureen McCarthy (11) in Class C-1; and Lisa Burnett in first with a nine and Denise DeSantis (nine) in Class D-1.
