The Hamburg baseball team uses the new hydration system purchased by the boosters.
The recently-formed Hamburg Boosters Club recently purchased three portable hydration systems for the High School sports program that have been used by all of the outdoor teams during the spring season, and one of them the systems even traveled to Rochester with the boys varsity lacrosse team as it competed in the state’s Final Four.
The Bulldogs Booster club got its start during the 2012-13 school year and club members report a successful first year. The boosters have become a 501c3 not-for profit organization and have grown club membership to about 75 families and a handful of sponsors.
The club is working on plans for fundraising for next year and working with Pat Cauley, the new athletic director at Hamburg Schools, to determine the most effective ways to help the district’s athletics programs to continue to thrive through hard economic times, reports Shawn Wright of the Boosters Club.
