Lake Shore senior Christ Conley has once again earned All-Western New York First Team honors as he and his teammates were recognized for their fine seasons with postseason accolades at the team’s 2013 baseball banquet.
It is the second year in a row that Conley earned the honor; he was second team as a sophomore. He becomes only the second Eagle to be named more than once, joining Jason Radwan, who earned it three times. Other Eagles earning the honor include JV coach Bill Anderson, Jim Mattison, Mark Houk and Matt Markott.
Conley, along with Tyler Mascio and Dane Cala, were named to the ECIC III First Team All Division squad. Bill Pinter, Ryan Joslyn, and Tyler Freeman were second team selections. Matt Kardach and Matt Brzozowiec were honorable mention.
At the banquet, Conley was named MVP; Kardach was Most Improved, Pinter was given the “William Anderson-Dedication to Lake Shore Award” and Tyler Freeman earned the Sportsmanship Award. Conley, Pinter, and Mascio become the first players in Lake Shore School history to be a part of two ECIC division titles. Kardach, Cala, Freeman, Joslyn, Pinter along with Jim Barry, Matt Vona, Ryan Mancini, Jarrett Yeates, Justin Budinewski and Mike Hontz earned the teams sixth straight Team Scholar Athlete Award.
