Stoklosa finishes off solid swim career at Frontier

Frontier senior Tom Stoklosa swam a pair of personal bests in his final high school meet, at the NYSPHSAA State Championships over the weekend at Webster Aquatic Center. He placed ninth in the 50 freestyle and 11th in the 100 freestyle. His 50 freestyle time of 21.50 was only .09 seconds off Mike Wood’s 29-year-old school record (21.41) and his time 47.39 in the 100 was .32 off Wood’s record, also from 1985 (47.07).

Stoklosa finishes one of the better swimming careers at Frontier, as a two-time Section VI Class A champion (2013, in the 200 individual medley, and 2014, in the 50 free); a three-time state qualifier — each time in the 100 free; and a school record holder as part of the 200 freestyle relay in 2012.
