Kyle Ingraham and Andrew Loveless both notched hat tricks to lead the Hamburg 12-and-under Boys Black and Blue teams to victories over South Buffalo and Orchard Park, respectively, in BWNYJSL play.
Ingraham picked up his second three goal performance in as many weeks to jump start an offensive attack for the Black team that saw six different players score in an 8-2 triumph over South Buffalo in Hillery Park on May 6.
Will McGowan opened the scoring in the ninth minute on a set up by Matt Clifford, before Jonah Kozak swung a cross to the top of Josh Kacalski’s head to set up Hamburg’s second goal. Goals by Seth Heeter in the 22nd minute and Ingraham in the 28th gave Hamburg a 4-0 lead, but South Buffalo scored two quick goals before the end of the first half. The Hamburg boys continued their offensive attack with another Ingraham goal set up by the ball work from Anthony Tuber and Clifford. Ryan Sutton scored in the 51st minute courtesy of yet another Kozak cross and one minute later Kozak tallied himself on a through ball from Clifford.
Isaiah O’Connor displayed his versatility splitting goaltending duties and field play with Andrew Lauria. Michael Lange and Jared Rasinski continued to develop a possession style of play. Gabe Mastrangelo, Alex Roth and Nick Sobczak used their speed to thwart opponents all evening, and in the game’s final minute, Sobczak assisted on another Ingraham’s goal. The team now stands at 2-0 on the young campaign.
In other action, Andrew Loveless’s three second half goals led the Blue team to a 3-2 win over Orchard Park. Loveless split time in the net with Andrew Paluch to help backstop an exciting team effort. Andrew Genzel dominated on both ends of the pitch while Dylan Crowley, Tim Oswald, and Dan Busha patrolled the midfield. Jacob Sortisio converted a midfield transition into a stellar pass to Loveless for the game winner. The victory evens the Blue record at 1-1 in 2013.
