Hamburg\'s Lexi Crotty was ranked the top “B” level freestyle skier in slope style during the season.
Lexi Crotty recently finished her second season skiing in the Eastern Freestyle Division and the seventh grader at Hamburg Middle School ranked as the top competitor in slope style. She’s ranked among 179 female athletes in the Northeast, which is comprised of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The 12-year-old also ranked seventh in aerials and ninth in moguls among those “B” level freestyle skiers.
In slope style, she finished first twice at Holiday Valley , second in the regional championships and 12th in the Eastern Freestyle Championships in New Hampshire. She took seven Top 10 finishes in moguls and six in aerials, including winning the HoliMont Flite Cup. With the ski season complete, she’ll work with her aunt and personal trainer, Aunt Kelly Hacker of Lake View, who is also one of her coaches on the snow, and will make multiple trips to Lake Placid’s Olympic Training Center, where the Flite Team has a camp.
