Hamburg girls swimmers win four times at ‘B’ meet

The Hamburg girls varsity swimming team won four events at the “B” championship meet held recently at Maryvale High School.
Sophomore Anna Wonch took first place in diving, during the opening event, by more than 20 points. Junior Lily Wright won the 500-freestyle. Becky Robbins took the 100-backstroke and Jessica Kerins won the 100-breaststroke. Hamburg’s 200-medley relay of Robbins, Kerins, Aubree Gross and Grace Kent finished in second place. Also for Hamburg, Aubree Gross took fourth in the 200-individual medley and Erin Mandiak finished in seventh place in the 100-backstroke. In the final event, the 400-free relay of Erin McCarthy, Karlie Gambino, Lily Wright and Becky Robbins finished in eighth place.
