Hamburg Little Cagers (Boys 13-15 Division/Week 10)

West Herr Auto Group 38, Ilio DiPaolo’s 23

Alex Boglev played hard on a bad knee, scoring six points to lead the West Herr victory. Andrew Mumm knocked down a three-point shot in the second half, and Ian Hayes also chipped in a bucket. Adam Jablonski had a strong second half for Ilio’s with six points. Jack Barrett played with great hustle, and Louis Fiorello was perfect shooting free throws.

Kanaley’s A.C. 41, BTM Gang 37

Lucas Winslow led Kanaley’s in the win with 11 points, while Ethan Heltz scored all seven of his points in the second half of a tight game. Ben Szymanski gave a solid defensive performance in the victory. Anthony Bollinger led BTM Gang in scoring with 16 points, while Jonathan Seir finished with a seven-point game. Dylan Taylor knocked down a big three to give his team an early lead.

J.P. Fitzgerald’s 53, Rooth’s 45

Matt Kelner had a dominant first half effort in a win for JP’s, scoring 14 points. Brady Gay made several nice lay-ups en route to a six-point game, while Jake Storey enjoyed a strong shooting game with six points. Devin Doyle led Rooth’s, pouring in 18 points. Kevin Mahoney enjoyed an 11-point effort, while Josh Perkins played a well-rounded game, chipping in two points.

MDC Solutions 44, Buffalo Niagara Realty 21

A close half-time game was broken open on a 14-0 run by MDC, led by the shooting of John Kwiatkowski, who finished with 20 points. Garrett Krencik played tough defense while also contributing a basket, and Diego Velasquez played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Daniel Gunning scored 6 points for Buffalo Niagara, who also got 5 points from Jacob Chaas, and a great defensive game from Reece Schara.

Eden/N. Collins Little Cagers (Grades 2-4 Division/Feb. 9)

McAllister 24, Timberbuilt 15

Brianna Rigley of Timberbuilt scored four points, while teammates Jordan Lauer and Donovan Lobello played strong defensively, but the team fell short to McAllister Plumbing, Heating & Cooling.

Ballou Paving 28, Vanstrom Performance 12

In a well-rounded performance from Ballou Paving, each player rebounded well and played textbook defense. Jacob Souder led the team with 12 points, four rebounds and an impressive seven steals. Emalee Ballou contributed with two points, three rebounds, two steals, and one superb assist. Ryan Stefan also had a standout game and played his best defense of the season so far.

Eden Sr. High Student Council 36, American Wire Tie 18

Eden Sr. High Student Council used its passing ability to get everyone involved which led to a victory. Hunter Bugenhagen led all scorers with 18 points and a high number of assists to his teammates, Cecelia Karpinkski, Austin, Chase Danes and Garett Smith.

Eden/ North Collins Little Cagers (Grades 5-6 Division/Feb. 9)

Tim Horton’s 24, Eden Collision 18

Dylan LoBello controlled the pace for Tim Hortons with two steals, four rebounds, two assists and two points. Zander Beck and Marty Barnack each added two points. Gavin Musielak finished with four points and three assists and the team was led in scoring by Shawni Cornfield with six points.

Kazoo Boutique 28, Tim Horton’s 16

Tim Hortons fell to Kazoo Boutique but was led by the play of Matt Kobie, who finished with six points and Dylan LoBello, who added six rebounds and two points. Marty Barnack sparked the team with his aggressive play and Zander Beck was impressive in driving to the basket. Kazoo Boutique was led by Nicholas Woronowske’s 12 points and seven rebounds. David Overhoff and Baylee Romano both pulled down nine rebounds in the victory.

Wentland Monuments 36, Campbell & Shelton LLP 12

In a losing effort for Campbell & Shelton, Robert Grunder and CJ Sroda led the team in scoring, while Madison Cerne rebounded well and scored a basket and Jack Campbell played strong defense.
