Hamburg Junior Baseball and Softball League 2013 season wrap-up



U-12 Champion: Sawers & Sackel, LLC Orioles
The Sawers & Sackel Orioles recently finished off an outstanding season by winning the 2013 HJBSL boys championship in the 12-and-under division. The Orioles are pictured, from left, first row: Sam Cilano, Timmy Oswald, Dylan Rapini, David Benningfield, Noah Landers and Ethan Gray. The 10 And Younger Champion: Overdoff Insurance Yankees
The Overdorf Yankees recently capped off a championship season by winning the ages 10-and-younger boys championship of the Hamburg Junior Baseball League. Ages 7 – 8 Champion: Sgroi Financial Mets
The Sgroi Financial Mets recently captured the 2013 championship for the ages 7 – 8 boys division of the Hamburg Junior Baseball League. U-12 Softball Champion: MacKinnon Insurance
The MacKinnon Insurance 12-and-younger team from the Hamburg Junior Baseball and Softball League recently won the league championship. The champions include, first row, from left: Regina Rogers, Hailee Keirns, Marissa Hughey, Natalie Pittillo and Lauren Aquiline. Second row: Brigid McKeone, Head Coach Chris McKeone, Cassie Borrello, Morgan Muriel, Lauren Tone, Eleanor Clarke, Coach Pat Clarke and Casey Aquiline. Gabriella DeMeo Earns MVP Honors
The Southtowns Girls Softball League ages 12-and-younger division recently held its annual all-star game at Legion Field in the village of Hamburg. Gabriella DeMeo, a player from the Lakeview Little League Buffalo Rehab Group team, was named most valuable player, thanks to her play on defense and hitting. She is pictured with her father, all-star team Coach Jack DeMeo from Lakeview Little League.
