Golfers Finish Season The Hamburg Womenís Golf Club held its end-of-the-season banquet with a luau-theme on Sept. 26 at the Dock of the Bay. Hamburgís Kohn shoots hole-in-one

Joe Kohn of Hamburg shot a hole-in-one at Cardinal Hills Golf Course in Randolph. He used a three-wood to ace the par-3, 153-yard 18th hole. Witness included Tom Stapleton, John Piniewski, Jake Bush and George Pitchford.

Hamburg Menís Golf Club closes strong season

The Hamburg Menís Golf Club picked up quite a few honors earned by members in club and area-wide tournaments during the 2013 season. Among the honors were Johnathan Snyder winning the Publinx overall individual scratch championship; Bill Gleason earning the Buffalo District overall senior net championship; and the HMGC ďBĒ team winning the 2013 Publinx title. Highlights from the tournament season at Eighteen Mile Creek Golf Course included Mike Zelaski repeating as Presidentís Cup match-play champion; Don Buckley capturing his second overall club championship and the team of Weaver and Golda winning the Member-Member title. Twenty-five club tournaments were conducted this season by club chairmen Rich Bartuila, Don Buckley and Ken Fierle.
