The day after Christmas witnessed the teenage pucksters realizing the dream of skating at one of the National Hockey League’s premier facilities. The opportunity was provided courtesy of the Buffalo Sabres organization, and memories were made to last a lifetime. The team utilized the ice for a practice working on fundamental skills and then enjoyed a “Black and White” scrimmage that ended in a 5-5 tie.
Following the practice, family and friends were invited for an open skate followed by the team Christmas party at the First Niagara Center. The Cazenovia Bantam Chiefs include team members Harrison Rosen, Josh Kacaliski and Jonah Kozak from the Frontier Middle School, Ryan Galley (St. Peter & Paul’s), Jared Lux (Hamburg), and Brandon Schott of Lake Shore High School.
