REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS — Kasy Schulz, Molly Marciniak, Kaitlyn Gernatt and Payton McCulloch helped IA to a league title.
Immaculata finished the regular season as leagues champs with a 52-4 record, but came up short of two titles, taking third at All-Catholics last week. Kasy Schulz earned league Most Valuable Player and First-Team All-Catholic honors for her league high average of 179. She also rolled a league-high 663 set and 236 game. Molly Marciniak earned Second-Team All-Catholic with a 173 average. She also had a 562 set to her credit. Teammate Rachel Boruszewski joined varsity at the halfway point of the season, while sophomores Kaitlyn Gernatt and Payton McCulloch also contributed. The girls were favored to win but struggled at All-Catholics, according to head coach Don Oliver. Schulz led the team with a 491 set. Mount St. Mary repeated as the event champion.
