Hamburg is gearing up for the ski season

HAMBURG — The town of Hamburg Department of Youth, Recreation and Senior Services is accepting early registration for its Youth Ski/Snowboard Club at Kissing Bridge Ski Center, with discounted rates for participants age 9 – 18 who sign up before Nov. 15.

Club members will meet for eight Saturday mornings, Jan. 4 – Feb. 22 at the village of Hamburg Youth Center, located at 200 Prospect Ave. in Hamburg. The buses will leave for Kissing Bridge at 8:30 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Hamburg chaperones will be on the bus and on-site at Kissing Bridge, at all times.

The resident and non-resident fees will include eight weeks of all-day skiing or snowboarding, with chaperoned bus transportation to and from Kissing Bridge and an optional six weeks of one-hour group ski or snowboarding lessons. Participants will also receive various coupons and may also find out more information about the “add a pass” feature, which provides the opportunity for club members to purchase a discounted Kissing Bridge season pass.

Equipment for skiing and snowboarding will be available for rental. Registration begins immediately at the town of Hamburg Recreation Office.
