Hamburg Public Library will host series of Halloween-themed events By: SARAH REYNOLDS-SEWERYNIAK

The Hamburg Public Library, located at 102 Buffalo St. in the Village of Hamburg, will have be showing a special Halloween film on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m.
The 2009 film starring Dakota Fanning and Teri Hatcher is about an adventurous girl who finds another world that is a strangely idealized version of her frustrating home which also has some secrets thrown in.
This animated film was the first film released by Focus Features.
This film is rated “PG” for thematic elements, scary images, some language and suggestive humor.

The library will also be hosting it’s own Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 2 to 3 p.m. for everyone of all ages to enjoy.
There will be a reading of spooky stories for children to enjoy in preparation for their trick-or-treating.
Those who plan to attend should be prepared to wear their costumes because the library will be having a contest for the best dressed.
Craft projects will also be available to help celebrate Halloween.
Registration is not required for this event and all are welcome.
This event will be a great jump start for a night full of trick-or-treating fun!
