The Hamburg Public Library will be showing a film that stars Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
The film is based on the play about a nun who confronts a priest after suspecting him of abusing a black student.
John Patrick Shanley, who wrote the screenplay also wrote the play was nominated for the adaptation.
The film’s starring cast was each recognized by the Academy Awards and were each nominated for their performances.

The Hamburg Public Library is also proud to announce that they have a new fleet of laptop computers available for use by patrons. The three new computers can access the Internet from any location in the library.
The library received a grant from the Town of Hamburg for the computers that would help assist patrons in need of a computer while the library’s PC’s were being occupied.
The Hamburg Public Library is located at 102 Buffalo Street in Hamburg.
